Information Covered by a Deletion Request

Depending on your interaction with Whitefield Yamaha Motors, the information associated with you may include:

• Full name
• Phone number
• Email address
• WhatsApp messages and communication records
• Website or showroom inquiry details
• Vehicle purchase-related communication
• Vehicle service-related communication
• Feedback and customer-support records
• Message identifiers and limited technical records required to operate our communication systems

A deletion request does not automatically apply to information that Whitefield Yamaha Motors must retain for legal, taxation, accounting, warranty, vehicle registration, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, manufacturer, or regulatory purposes.

How to Request Data Deletion

Verification of the Request

To protect customer information from unauthorized deletion, Whitefield Yamaha Motors may contact the requester using the registered phone number or email address to verify their identity and confirm the scope of the request.

We will only request information reasonably necessary to identify the relevant records.

Processing Time

Valid deletion requests will normally be reviewed and processed within 30 days after successful verification.

If additional time is required because of the complexity of the request, legal obligations, or records held by authorized third parties, the customer will be informed where reasonably possible.

Information We May Be Required to Retain

Certain information may not be immediately deleted where retention is required for legitimate business or legal purposes.

• Vehicle invoices and financial records
• Payment and taxation records
• Warranty and service-history records
• Vehicle registration and RTO-related records
• Insurance or financing records
• Records required by Yamaha Motor India
• Records connected to legal claims, complaints, fraud prevention, or regulatory obligations
• Information retained in secure backups until the normal backup-retention period expires

Any retained information will remain subject to applicable privacy and security requirements and will not be used for unrelated purposes.

WhatsApp Data

Whitefield Yamaha Motors may use WhatsApp to send transactional messages, service-related messages, feedback requests, and customer-support communications.

A customer may request deletion of eligible WhatsApp communication records stored by Whitefield Yamaha Motors. Deleting records held by Whitefield Yamaha Motors does not automatically delete messages stored on the customer’s device, within the customer’s WhatsApp account, or within systems independently controlled by Meta or WhatsApp.
